Int’l Open Call, Artist Residencies and Retreats in the South of Italy 2013
The first Artists’ Residence to open in the Basilicata region of Southern Italy, Palazzo Rinaldi is a historical property dating back to 1822 and located in the hilltop village of Noepoli (PZ), at the heart of Italy’s largest National Park. Depending on their needs, Artists have the option to attend a Residency or a Retreat. Residents are provided with large private bedrooms exquisitely decorated with original period furniture and fittings, 24-hr access to two in house studios, kitchenette, daily locally sourced organic breakfast and free wi-fi.For Artists looking for privacy or for those travelling with young families, Retreats are hosted in a private apartment within the main Palazzo Rinaldi building, with private studio and private access.
Palazzo Rinaldi Artists’ Residence is committed to actively promote interaction between its Resident Artists and the local community through exhibitions, open studio days, workshops, screenings and performances running parallel to its summer Residencies. Organised in conjunction with the residents artists the programme is not compulsory and Artists may also attend to focus on completing a personal project (this must be specified at the application stage).
