ArtRubicon Visual Arts Magazine is a project undertaken out of love by Dawn LeBlanc and Allison Argy-Burgess.

At the time we started ArtRubicon over a year ago, we felt there was a noticeable void in information available to Alberta visual artists and decided it was time to provide an independent online resource that would provide timely information concerning opportunities, exhibitions, resources, and news pertinent to all Alberta-based artists, all in one place. Since that time the blog has grown significantly in popularity, and we are now averaging over 50,000 visits each month.

In the not too distant future, we hope to add more services–marketing materials such as artist cards, business cards, fine art documentation and websites at an affordable price.  With this new website, it is our hope that we can attract some sponsors and advertising dollars that will enable us to continue in our efforts, and start to provide other professional development services, workshops, art and culture tours and who knows what else.

We are happy to post any events or exhibitions within Alberta. To submit, please send an email to artrubicon@gmail.com and include 2 or 3 images, no larger than 1024 on the long side in jpg format.

GUEST CONTRIBUTORS:

If you feel you have something you’d like to contribute and it is of relevance to the visual arts community in Alberta (or nationally, internationally), please contact us. We welcome guest contributions. We can’t pay you at the moment, but we can give you exposure and lots of accolades.

VOLUNTEERS:
